Project Completion Report

Overview

To complete the Project Completion Report you will need:

The post-retrofit energy assessment (“E Audit”) provided by your Energy Advisor
Final external incentive amounts you will receive for your project
Final invoices from contractors for the work you completed

Remember that your Retrofit Coach can help you review your documents and confirm your project will meet the program requirements.

What’s Next?

Upon receipt of your Project Completion Report, BetterHomes Huntsville will review it to:

Review the results of your post-retrofit energy assessment and verify that the required energy reduction target has been met;
Confirm the BetterHomes Huntsville incentives you qualify for;
Prepare a final amortization schedule to accompany the Property Owner Agreement based on actual project costs;
Prepare a Local Improvement Charge (LIC) Letter for the property owner(s) to review and sign to accept the special charge on their Property Tax Account.

This review will take up to 10 business days. Once all property owner(s) have signed the LIC Letter, the applicant can then receive the final disbursement of eligible funds.

The municipality will pass a bylaw to place the special charge onto your property and update your tax account to start collecting payments on your regular property tax bills.
